Mari is a Remedial Massage Therapist whose work gently bridges the physical and the energetic.

Originally from Japan, Mari’s path into bodywork began in 2016, when she was initiated into a unique style of lymphatic massage that honored slowness, subtlety, and the quiet language of the body. She later completed her Remedial Massage training at TAFE NSW and is a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia.
Her work is deeply informed by her Japanese roots, her reverence for the body’s innate intelligence, and her natural ability to soothe through presence and touch. Many clients fall into deep rest during her treatments—testament to the calming, parasympathetic quality she carries.
Mari believes healing doesn’t need to be loud or forceful—it needs to be listened to. In her space, you are invited to return to yourself gently, at your own pace, in your own rhythm.

I have been seeing Mari at North Avoca Wellness Centre for three years for lymphatic drainage massage. I had used other practitioners elsewhere in the past , but to me they just did not compare with the absolute competence, professionalism and unique style that Mari so confidently displays. She utilises all of the areas of lymph flow from the top of my body right down to my feet. Mari focuses extensively on the gut area, legs, knees, feet, neck, underarm etc etc, always giving me accurate comments on what she particularly felt were problematic, and offering advice on how to remedy any tightness she found during the massage. I highly recommend Mari, and I know she is making a huge difference to my body’s ability in maintaining good lymph flow.
