Remedial Massage

This is a therapeutic massage to muscular areas of your body which are tight and spasmed.

It benefits tired and aching muscles, postural imbalances, headaches and is great for general stress relief. It helps release the muscles, drains lactic acid build up and increases blood flow to the soft tissues of the area to promote healing.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage focuses on specific tight and spasmed areas of your body .

It helps to release the muscles, drains lactic acid build up and increases blood flow to the soft tissues of the area to promote healing. It is a very slow, focused and mindful style of Massage which works on releasing the myofascial as well. The depth of treatment is guided by the client, “it feels like a good sore”, as it releases chronically tight and congested areas. It benefits tired and aching muscles, postural imbalances, headaches, and general muscular pain.

Massage/Kinesiology

The session involves the testing of muscles to assess their function on a neurological level – to find out which muscles are not switching on (underfacilited) and which muscles are switched on all the time (overfacilitated).

The overfaciltated muscles are usually the one’s that become very sore and spasmed.Treatment then involves a mixture of Acupressure, remedial massage and trigger point to facilitate a release of the tight spasmed areas, and then we use your muscles as a feedback system to help find a correction to switch those underfacilitated muscles back on, to get them firing againThis style of treatment gives a taste of what mind body medicine is all about.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is a hands on massage during or after pregnancy (prenatal or postnatal) which has multiple beneficial effects.

It is wonderful for relieving tension in the body, including reducing pain in the lower back, neck and shoulders, which can occur at the later stages of prenatal. It also stimulates our lymphatic system to remove fluid build – up from the legs and ankles and also help’s to reduce feelings of anxiety, improves your mood and helps promote better sleep. It can be one of the most beneficial times in a women’s life to have a massage.

Hot Stones Massage

Hot Stone Massage is an ancient art that dates back to 1500BC in Europe and North America.
The therapist combines these super smooth stones with complementary oils and hands on massage, to warm muscles, tendons and ligaments which can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
It is safe and effective in treating a litany of conditions including pain with Fibromyaligia, Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and other chronic Musculoskeletal Conditions, pain and tension resulting from tight muscles, muscle spasms and chronic stress, while increasing joint flexibility.
Hots stones expands blood vessels, which improves circulation and ‘energy flow’ throughout the body, aiding detoxification, stimulating our immune system and improving digestion.
The heat of the stones  allow the therapist to access deeper muscle layers for a more thorough Massage.
